Bufospirostenin A
Efficient total synthesis
· Bufospirostenin A was extracted and isolated from the bile of Chinese toads by Professor Ye Wencai's
group of Jinan University in 2017. It has a good inhibitory effect on Na/K ATPase (NKA), indicating that
it has a good inhibitory effect on Na/K ATPase (NKA)Potential Anticancer Function；
· But very little protein was isolated from the toad, 240 g of gallbladder and 1.5 kg of venom were
collected (1 ton of toad)，only separation 1.9 mg of target protein，The isolation yield is only one in a
million; it is difficult to carry out effective biological experiments to verify its pharmacological activity;
· This work uses the method of artificial total synthesis to efficiently synthesize 100mg level of
bufospirostenin A with simple raw materials, which solves key problems for the team's follow-up
pathological research, and the follow-up anti-cancer pharmacology research has also achieved staged
results (unpublished).
