State Key Laboratory Academic Conference Held

The meeting listened to the 2013 annual work report of the laboratory by researcher Li Zhanbin, the director of the laboratory, and five representative research progress reports made by researcher He Hongming, associate researcher Shen Yufang, researcher Liu Wenzhao, researcher Jiao Juying and Dr. Li Zhi. , the progress made was seriously discussed; the meeting also reviewed the 2014 laboratory open fund project.


  Experts at the meeting agreed that in 2013, the laboratory has made important progress in soil erosion mechanism of the Loess Plateau, plant resistance mechanism, hydrodynamics and regulation mechanism of soil-plant system in the loess region, and vegetation restoration in the loess region. In terms of soil erosion, the coupling mechanism of land use pattern and erosion and sediment production in the basin and the mechanism of the combined erosion process of wind and water were revealed. In terms of plant drought resistance and dry farming, potato varieties with stronger resistance to stress have been cultivated through genetic modification; the "Suggestions for Accelerating Agricultural Development in Arid and Semi-arid Areas of my country" submitted by Academician Shanlun and others to the state was approved by Liu Yandong, Vice-Chairman of the State Council. The Prime Minister's instructions, and the Ministry of Science and Technology is responsible for implementation. The research on the hydrodynamics and regulation mechanism of the soil-plant system in the Loess region was awarded the second prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2013. This achievement systematically revealed the dynamic relationship and effective regulation mechanism of soil-plant water in the Loess Plateau. In the field of ecological restoration, it was found that the 13C value in microbial respiration CO2 was significantly correlated with the microbial community structure, and there were significant differences in the stability and evolution of runoff in the Loess Plateau forest/non-forest watershed. After the research results of using corn to control the hazard of colitis were published in Crop Science, they were widely reported by domestic and foreign science and technology news pages, with a click rate of more than 500,000 times.

  In 2013, the number and quality of SCI papers in the laboratory were significantly improved; the introduction of talents and capacity building were further strengthened; the number of projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China increased significantly; the laboratory was used as a platform, and won the "Loess Plateau Soil and Water Conservation and Ecological Restoration Synergy in Shaanxi Province in 2013" "Innovation Center"; the supporting unit and Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University's School of Forestry, School of Resources and Environment, and School of Life officially launched the joint laboratory; Invite well-known scholars at home and abroad to give a series of lectures and academic reports in the laboratory, and academic exchanges are more active; basic conditions for scientific research Further improvement has effectively played the role of the national scientific research platform.
